Description |
History of the Burr House. Built for Frank W. Burr and his family in 1893. Finished entirely of redwood, the 10 room home was completed entirely to Burr's handwritten specifications which survive to this day. The reported cost was $2,800. Frank Burr died in 1917, but Laura survived him by thirty years, continuing to live in the house with their son Myron. Myron Burr moved from the house in 1975 and it was sold after 82 years of family ownership. |
