3 page letter written by Al Blackburn to Miss Gene Fager. It describes a train trip from Nogales to Mexico. Once there, with Mr. Shirley they visited the U.S. military attache to discuss plans for an Inter-American Escradrille only to find others working on the same idea. The plans were merged and "everyone liked the plan and were practically assured of Mexican cooperation as they seemed willing to turn over the large miitary airport and facilities to us which would be perfect." The letter ends "Keep your fingers crossed." Dated as "Tuesday night." |
