Detailed history and newspaper articles. The lot was purchased by the Tifal Brothers architects and builders, Charles and Gustave, who specialized in Craftsman Style homes. On April 5, 1914, a building permit was issued to the Tifal Brothers for a new house to be constructed at 120 May Ave. for $4,800. The Tifals sold the property prior to the completion of the house to Letha L. Storrow. Later residents were: J.W. Thomas, Mrs. Clara S. Black, Charles & Ella Culver and their daughter Mertie, Verl & Davina Murray, O. Edward and Victoria Blomgren, Athol and Barbara Bolin. Includes a newspaper clipping regarding the death of Mrs. Charles Culver who had resided at 120 May Ave. Swiss Chalet Craftsman Bungalow, Historic Landmark #43. |
