Post Scripts column by Charles Davis of the Monrovia News-Post about the Charles H. and Yetta Anson's 50th wedding anniversary party on August 18, 1955. The column appeared August 30, 1955. It states that Charles Anson bought a five-acre orange grove at White Oak and Myrtle and that Yetta (Dexter) came in 1899 with Miss Esther Barden to teach school. They taught at Monrovia's first school - the Orange Avenue School. |
