Reports the purchase of a large building owned by C.H. Anson on the SE corner of Myrtle and White Oak (Foothill) Avenues for a sum the highest ever paid for Monrovia real estate. The building was occupied by Ruechel garage, the Buick Agncy and Ray Nute, Reo and Marmon agent. It says that Mr. Anson, owner of the property acquired it in 1902 from Rev. J. Dorland. He purchased three lots east of Myrlte at the time and paid $500 for the entire land. the building was erected in 1918 and was first used by Stanley Moore's fill station. Article dated November 30, 1927. |
